The perfect sweater

Ok so this picture does not do the sweater justice by ANY means, but I found it the other day when I was shopping around and wanted to share it with you. I feel like I am counting down the days until Fall, and this just makes me a little more excited for it to get here!

You can find the sweater here...and another plus-it's not too pricey ($59.90) and it's perfect for all ages!

Here it is in brown...

Working on my inner peace

Last week Blake graduated college (See below post), and when he did he lost his membership to his school gym. He made us threw out the thought that maybe we should join the gym up the street. Now...I couldn't care less about a gym. I don't think I've ever been in shape a day in my life, and until now really didn't think much of it, but for the past year or so I've had some heart issues and the doctor suggested I get moving. Not running. Just moving...

When I signed up they had me sit down with a personal trainer who helped guide me to where I needed to start. He checked all of my vitals, asked a few questions, helped me through my work out and then proceeded to tell me, "You're definitely going to need to be watched closely. In fact it's more vital for us to monitor your work out than for someone who is obese." Oh great! Fantastic! This is wonderful news! I'm about to die...

Ok hopefully that's not true, but seriously why the h*** would you tell me that?! Needless to say, I've been prancing around that gym like a ballerina on eggshells afraid I'm about to kill myself if my heart so much has an increase in beats.

SO...I'm off to find my inner peace.

Now let me just tell you that I've learned that these classes can kick you in the backside or they can relax you while getting your heart *Moderately* beating. I'm working my way up people...

I've discovered that besides the 10 minutes nap meditation at the end, this is my favorite pose...

Child's pose.

Sweet. Simple. Relaxing. No worries involved, and no intense urge to bust out laughing.

Yesterday I had to control myself when they started turning themselves into this...and expecting me to follow

First of all...this is just weird and really grosses me out for some reason, and I REALLY don't think anyone should ever look like that. But check back with me in a couple of months and I may be twisting and turning myself into positions you've never seen before too!

In the end I'm just hoping to make it past age 24...hey, maybe I'll even be her! (See below)

Happy inner peace day everyone! Love yourselfs. Live in the moment. Breathe out all of the anger, rejection, hurt and animosity you're storing up. Welcome in the light...

Looks like I'm retaining more than I thought...

A Headboard to Dream About...

My sister and I have been swooning over this so I thought I would share with you today! It's from Layla Grace which you can find here.

Way too pricey for me right now, but I think it is absolutely beautiful!

A MAJOR Catch up...Brace yourselfs...it's a long one!

So every day when I get to work I immediately look to see which one of your blogs has been updated. It's like opening a present...or getting a card in the mail that you know has a check in it :) (usually from sweet Grandparents who feel sorry for us)...yes, I love YOUR blogs THAT much! I don't know if you feel the same way about the blogs you read, but if so, forgive me for being a slacker lately. Teddy chewed my chord to download my pictures so I finally made a trip to Target yesterday to buy one!

So here is the last three weeks in a nut shell...

I lightly mentioned that Teddy had to be RUSHED to the hospital three weeks ago and spent three days getting his tiny little tummy pumped, had charcoal shoved down his throat and had to be hooked up to an IV at all times (except when they would let me come to walk him for 10 minutes).

Why you may ask?? Because I decided to switch handbags right before I walked out the door and left a ziploc bag full of 10 advil in the bag I left behind for him to snack on. I won't go into details because it will bore you, but holy moly...I know he is just a dog, but SERIOUSLY I felt like a family member was dying!

The morning I took these pictures I was about to lose it. He didn't seem to be getting any better (yes, he's smiling, but he would have to lay down every two minutes because he was so tired, and that is NOT my Teddy). However, he did make a full recovery, and I've been loving on him even more now!

On To Miami!

I went down to Miami for family vacation, and we had the best time! You could stick me in the middle of nowhere with my sister, however, and I would love it no matter what just because I was with her! I am so blessed that my sister really is my best friend. We stayed up talking every night until who knows when, laughed harder than ever, ate lots of good food and relaxed the whole week...it was wonderful!! Oh...and not to mention, my children-the ones I would steal today and never give back if she would let me!

I was so excited to go here on our trip...(it's DASH from Kourtney and Khloe (Kardashian) Take Miami-the show...just in case you didn't know)

BUT was MAJORLY disappointed in the store. There was literally NOTHING in that store. I think it's more of a set for their show than an actual store, but it was fun either way to go.

And then there was this little adventure...

An airboat ride through the Everglades National Forest...GORGEOUS!

He came back with a bloody hand just so you know...

After two hours on that boat whipping through those murky, crocodile infested waters we made our way to the beach.

I can't wait to go back!!

On to graduation...speed round...

There's Blake walking across the stage :) I was like a proud parent haha

PS-Here is one of the dresses I got at the Van Jean sale I was telling you about here that I bought for next to nothing, and I've already worn it twice!

His entire family came down...even his precious cousins and Aunt and Uncle...they were so sweet to make the trip down (with their two baby twins) on their free weekend!! Thank you Natalie and Jonathan!!
And last, but certainly not least...

Blake was offered a new job!! I am so proud of him and all of his hard work! He is going to be a Dental Sales Consultant with Henry Schein. Here he is signing his papers to accept the job (which will be here in Columbia)

Funny...when I took this picture he said, "Megan...you're not allowed to blog about this"...what he doesn't know won't hurt him hahaha. Hopefully he won't be reading this post :)

Thank you, VanJean...

Due to my camera chord being temporarily out of service, I figured I would take this little hiatus to tell you about my finds this past week.

On my daily blog reads, I came across this website on Thursday, and I sure am glad I did! (or maybe I shouldn't be so glad I did?? Ok, my husband was not so glad I did :) )

The lady who writes this blog gives a daily update of sales, restaurant specials and activities going on throughout the community. Great idea, no? Maybe you should start one for your city!

Anywho, back to my story...I was reading her blog, and came across this post where at the end she said, "Speaking of VanJean and sales, we hear the sidewalk sale goods are trickling onto the sales floor. Discounts begin on Thursday for Saturday's sidewalk sale and art stroll. And don't forget tax-free weekend, which makes the deals a little sweeter!"

Sidewalk sale?!!...Count me In!!

I literally did a DEAD SPRINT across the street (convenient!) to VanJean for my 15 minute (YES, 15!) minute break where I literally tried clothes on so fast my head was spinning. I RAN back to work (and was 3 minutes late-shh, don't tell). You try going into a 90% off sale and try only spending 15 minutes there...I felt like I was a kid in one of those flying cash booths where they get a minute to grab as many dollar bills as possible...except I was spending my bills instead of saving them.

Needless to say, 15 minutes was not enough. I counted down the minutes until 5:00 pm and then peeled into their parking lot. Ok...not really, but at that point I could have...

I tried finding the things I got online, but could only find two...the shoes!

So for these $675 shoes...

I paid $70
And for these $650 boots...

I paid $75 for.

Now...if you're like my husband you may be thinking I still spent too much money, and perhaps you're right, but before I bought them I thought of all the ways I could wear everything I bought. It made me sleep better that night so I hope I'm right about them :)
At least my winter wardrobe will thank me...hopefully...

Out of (picture) Order

Hello my loves! I just wanted to let you know that I haven't given up on my blog, but I'm about to give up on my Teddy (kidding!!). First he ate through a bag of advil where we proceeded to spend 3 days with him in the hospital two weekends ago where I was literally DISTRAUGHT the entire time! I went to bed crying, I woke up crying...it was so sad, but thankfully he has made a FULL RECOVERY!

Except that...

He hasn't learned his lesson...because he completely chewed through my camera chord that I use to upload my pictures! Blake's graduation is tomorrow so I will find some way to get a new chord at some point this weekend and finally catch up!!
