New Years Plans!

So Blake informed me last night that we will be going heeeere for New Years!

I'm so excited because this means I get to do nothing, but sit by the fire and read my new coffee table books...and eat of course...and not feel bad about it one little bit :)

I'll be enjoying it with these people...plus Blake's whole family

I can't wait to wake up to this...

And eat a lot of this...

Sharebear's famous homemade pizza!

I hope you all have an amazing and safe New Years!! Take pictures so I can see what you do! ;)

One of my new favorite things!

My Clarisonic brush.

My sister had one first, and when I tried hers I fell in love so I was really hoping I'd find one on Christmas day in my pile, and thanks to my precious Mother-in-law I did!

I love this thing!!

The best part of Christmas break!!

My best friend, Meg got engaged!!!!!!!!!!!

and please look how GORGEOUSLY STUNNING HER RING IS!!!

I almost died...

Sorry, I just love the ring...I was so sad my camera didn't take good pictures though!

We celebrated with mimosas after she SHOCKED us with the great news!! We were so excited she told us in person...I literally screamed in Brittney and Jordan's ear for a good 60 seconds...sorry girls!! :)

We had so much fun hearing the story of how he did and and we couldn't be more excited for her!!!

They were exchanging their Christmas gifts to each other and she opened a photo album of all of their pictures together over the last two years. When she got to the end of them he told her he had written a note in the back and to turn to it. When she did there was a picture of the ring and he got down on one knee with the real thing!! And they had a video of the whole thing for us to watch!! So fun and so precious!!!

Let the wedding planning begin! :)

YAYYYY!!!! :)

Christmas Vacation

So on Wednesday around lunch time we packed up the car and headed to Florida to have Christmas with my family and Grandparents who live there.

The drive was loooong so Teddy helped out...

We had a fun couple of days shopping, eating...and more eating before we did our Christmas together...

Everyone heard my cry for coffee table books, and I was ecstatic to get this one from my precious Mom!!

Jason on the other hand was beyond excited to get this...

Oh the difference in guys and girls...

Mom almost died when she realized Bill had surprised her and picked out all kinds of clothes...especially ones she loved! :)

And who knows what Grandpa got, but have you ever seen anything cuter?! Love him!

Blake and I had a $12 limit...yes, 12...I think it was because I found a business card holder for $12 so I told him he couldn't spend any more than that on me.

Here is what he got me...

I was so excited! Seriously!! He couldn't have spent $12 any better :)

Teddy got a pillow pal and didn't leave it the whole time.

But our most favorite gift was the flip camera that we used to entertain ourselves on the long drive back to Greenville on Christmas day...

As soon as we pulled into Greenville around 3 pm it started snowing! We were so excited!! First White Christmas in Greenville since 1963...yeah, I heard that about 100 times over the weekend.

We headed straight for Blake's Aunt's house to do family christmas with them...we had so much fun seeing everyone and we were so excited we made it in time!

That night we headed back to Blake's house and had our own little Christmas...if by little I mean AMAZINGLY awesome Christmas.

Blake had a talk with me explaining to open one at a time...I get very excited!

This was my reaction to every present...

Clearly I raced through mine and finished before Blake who likes to take his time...

And just when he thought he was done opening all of his presents, his dad came out and told him he had one more to open...

Blake was SO EXCITED to say the least. He was shocked!

However, I'm not sure if he was more excited about the ipad or this...

I kid you not...

I've never seen a 24 year old man so happy about a present.

The rest of the night we stayed by the fire, but I made Blake run out and take a picture of the snow...SO PRETTY!!

The next morning we woke up and headed to my dad's to do Christmas with him.

We also did a little playing in the snow...

Teddy has never had so much fun in his life!

and Tucker almost made my have a heart attack of coldness when he jumped in...

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of that night where I hung out with my favorite people...but I seriously have not had that much fun in forever!! We had the BEST night!

I did, however, manage to get this one of my brother Brantley (he's not really my brother, but really he is...). I just couldn't help it...

How awkward is this picture?! It makes me laugh so hard...Why in the world is there a random stuffed dear in the chair? I couldn't tell you.

Blake and I finally made our way home last night and because neither one of us has slept well since July 11th (our wedding), sleeping remedies were at the top of our Christmas list...

Unfortunately Blake's is a monster...

But my small little sound machine is discreetly hidden...and it's heavenly...and I never ever ever want to sleep without it again...

Ever.

That soft little hum did me wonders last night, and today I'm a new woman.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas...I have never felt so blessed to have such amazing friends and family!!

The Diva does Nails...

When Blake and I first got engaged I remember coming home from his house one night around 10 pm. I walked up the stairs yelling for my mom (because she's a night owl...she always goes to bed around 1 or 2 am).

She didn't respond.

So I opened the door of her bedroom only to find her overhead light on, sitting upright with a book in her hands, eyes closed and mouth open.

"MOMMM!!!!!! MOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!" I yelled...

I thought she was DEAD! My heart came out of my chest, I grabbed the phone to call 911 and completely went into panic mode. I shook her and yelled at her to wake up only to have her start laughing and talking jiberish to me...

She was on Ambien.

Thanks for taking 8 years off my life, Mom...

Well, last night we were looking through pictures and my step-dad, Bill said, "Oh my gosh...you have to see this picture I took of your mom painting her nails"

I didn't think anything of it...she always paints her nails...

A clear color that is.

So he pulled out his phone and said "How do you like those?"

I mean seriously, the Diva would NEVER paint outside the lines...nor would she EVER PAINT HER NAILS PINK!!! Please just look at her 4th finger...have you ever seen anyone over the age of 8 paint their nails so terrible?!

I should have gotten her a gift certificate to Nail Envy for Christmas...

I've never laughed so hard, and I haven't stopped since he told me. Just thinking of her painting her nails on ambien is too much for me to even handle...God help us all.

Merry Christmas Eve from Flemming Isle, Florida!!! ;)

The Next Best Thing! I'm just a bit obsessed...

Have you seen this blog on my blog role?!

If you haven't taken the time to look at it...go do so NOW. You'll die!! I'm slightly obsessed with not only the blog, but now even more so, with the clothes that have come to life!

When I was at The University of Alabama I met an awesome guy named Brent through a mutual friend and then magically we ended up taking History of Costume together! He is madly talented, and I had a feeling he would go the distance in fashion.

Well...looks like he's going far beyond even my expectations! He has teamed up with the amazingly talented Mary Katherine Moody to create a brand new line called "Aman Stovall"...gorgeous name, right?!

I remember seeing Mary Katherine's collection during one of the schools fashion shows and thinking, "Gosh, I want every piece of hers!" She has the most beautiful, feminine and well-tailored designs, and the two of them as a team is just beyond brilliant!

I was reading their blog this morning and stumbled across the "Christmas Gala" post and almost had a heart attack! I texted Brent immediately and asked him if I could share the beauty with all of my lovely readers...he was so sweet as always and said yes :)

So without further adieu...please welcome the FIRST TWO dresses (a sneak peek!) of the Aman Stovall Fall 2011 Collection...

Holy holy moly...

I mean seriously?! DYING!

And of course...LOVE the accessories!

I keep bugging Brent asking when I can buy it?! The second it hits the stores...these clothes will be in my closet!

And how gorgeous are these girls?! Simply stunning...

I love how elegant, femine and substantial the clothes are...these are such timepieces and would never go out of style...my favorite kind of purchases!

I literally cannot WAIT until the whole line is out! I will keep you updated as soon as I have more pictures. Until then...you can join the countdown with me until Fall 2011 when we can buy them! :)

Go check out amanstovall.blogspot.com for the full article (and larger pictures!) on it and to learn more about the brand as a whole!

Birthday Bliss...bring it on 25

I woke up this morning so happy and content. I love birthdays...is it ok to say that? I absolutely LOVE the idea of getting older. Each year seems to keep getting better and better, and I can't wait to see what this year holds!

My precious husband spoiled me from the second I got up. He took Teddy out (which he normally does, but sometimes I have to), and when I rolled over there was a little box with a bow on it! I was so excited...I could barely see, but I opened it up, and there was a gift card for a 90 MINUTE MASSAGE!!!! I've NEVER had a 90 minute massage!! AND he already scheduled it for tomorrow morning!! To say I was excited was beyond an understatement.

The man is getting real smart...

He's also bringing me breakfast to work. Spoiled. Spoiled. Spoiled...and I love it! :) Too bad birthdays only last for 24 hours!

All of my family and friends have made my day so special already and it's only 8:20 am! Is there really a better day to be on facebook than on your birthday?! Talk about feeling loved...those are the best messages ever!

Because I'm always interested in what other people get for their birthday, I figured I'd show you the things I've gotten so far. All of these gifts were so sweet and so special, but they are just icing on the cake to all of my relationships that are behind them.

My (precious, perfect, angelic) sister sent me a package...and when she does, I know it's going to be amazing. Obviously she didn't disappoint!! She sent me a birthday dress...

and a Chanel book that I'm dying over!!! Apparently Kelly and Audrey read this post.

It is so beautiful and so heavy...

and I absolutely love looking at all the pictures like this one...

looks perfect on my coffee table!

Then, my sweet (sister-to-be-one-day) Nikki surprised me with THIS!!! I almost died of excitement!!!

My first Guy Stevens print!! It is by far my favorite of his because it's in Paris...

and I really want to go to Paris...

because I think Paris and I would love each other! :)

I cannot wait to find the perfect place to put it in my house, and I cannot wait to start collecting his paintings...they're so whimsical and fun!

She also gave me this as an early Christmas present that I'm obsessed with. I LOVE it!! I've already found the perfect place for it in our room.

My amazing Mother-in-law stocked up my make-up brushes this year, and I was so stinking excited!! (Especially because they have a lifetime guarantee!) She couldn't have gotten me anything better...

Oh...accept for maybe these! She surprised me and got me these candle sticks which I am IN LOVE with!! They are so pretty and I can't wait to use them in our dining room!

I still have one more birthday dinner with my Mom and Daddy Bill, and my Grandparents when we get to Florida...I'm so excited because last year I didn't even get to see my mom on my birthday...that shouldn't be allowed!

Although I'm excited about turning a year older I am being realistic with myself and I'm pulling out the big guns...

Hopefully those wrinkles don't stand a chance this year...

26...now that may be another story.

Hope your day is as wonderful as mine has been!!
